AI Store & Page Builder, Public API, Pre-Orders, Built-In Sales Tools and More
This is one of our biggest releases yet, bringing a major leap forward in how merchants build their stores, extend FlyCommerce, sell products, manage fulfillment, and create better shopping experiences.
You can now describe your business and let AI help shape your storefront, generate pages with FlyBuddy, and start with theme suggestions, a live preview, and a demo catalog instead of a blank store. Developers can also build and connect third-party solutions through the new FlyCommerce App Platform, including the Public API, Developer Portal, and App Store.
This release also adds pre-order selling, Shipment 2.0, invoicing, automatic collections, abandoned cart recovery, back-in-stock notifications, Buy Now checkout, product comparison, and expanded capabilities across payments, vendors, shipping, and marketplace management.
Beyond the new features, we’ve shipped a broad set of improvements and fixes across checkout, storefronts, orders, authentication, fulfillment, and platform reliability.
Here’s what’s new in FlyCommerce v3.0.0.
What’s New
- AI-Assisted Store Setup. New merchants can describe their business and receive theme suggestions, a live store preview, and a demo catalog, helping them start with a populated storefront instead of a blank one.
- FlyBuddy AI Page Builder (Beta). Describe the page you want in plain language and FlyBuddy can generate its structure and content blocks. You can then edit everything it creates directly in the page builder.
- AI Free Tier. Merchants can either connect their own AI key or use FlyCommerce-provided AI access where enabled, with remaining usage quota shown directly in the dashboard.
- Public API, Developer Portal & App Store. Developers can now build and connect third-party solutions through the FlyCommerce App Platform. The Public API includes 22 permission scopes, while apps request explicit merchant permission during installation and automatically lose access when uninstalled. Privileged scopes and catalog write access require review before approval. Explore the Developer Docs.
- Pre-Orders. Sell products before they are available with full payment, percentage deposits, or fixed deposits. When a cart contains both regular and pre-order products, FlyCommerce automatically separates them into the appropriate orders per vendor so payment and fulfillment can follow the correct process for each.
- Shipment 2.0. Shipment tracking is now more reliable with automatic carrier updates and a scheduled fallback check every 15 minutes when an update is missed. Split shipments show progress for each parcel, and Shippo now supports purchasing return labels. Learn more about order fulfillment in FlyCommerce.
- Invoice Module V1. Admins can now preview, generate, download, resend, regenerate, void, issue credit notes, and export invoices from FlyCommerce. Invoices use sequential numbering and include QR codes that give customers access to a login-free order tracking page.
- Automatic Collections. Create product collections using rules that match all or any selected conditions. FlyCommerce automatically keeps each collection updated as products match or stop matching those rules.
- Abandoned Cart Recovery. Customers who opt in can receive reminder emails with personalized links that bring them directly back to their abandoned cart.
- Back-in-Stock Notifications. Customers can subscribe to restock emails for out-of-stock products and receive a notification when those products become available again.
- Buy Now Checkout. Customers can purchase a product immediately without changing the products already saved in their main shopping cart.
- Product Comparison. Customers can compare up to four products side by side and share the comparison using a dedicated URL.
- Public Wishlist Sharing. Customers can create a shareable wishlist link, revoke access whenever they want, and allow recipients to copy shared wishlists.
- PayTR Payment Gateway. Added PayTR support for businesses operating in Turkey, including embedded checkout, vendor IBAN validation, and refund support. Explore FlyCommerce payment gateways.
- Unified Login. Admins, vendors, and customers can now sign in through one unified dashboard login experience across FlyCommerce. The previous storefront login flow has been retired.
- White-Label Login Experience. Dashboard login and error pages now support white-label branding across 13 locales for a cleaner and more consistent branded experience.
- Vendor Vacation Mode. Vendors can pause their store immediately or schedule future vacation periods, including multiple planned breaks.
- Preset Shipping Profiles. Marketplace admins can create predefined shipping setups for vendors, decide whether vendors can customize them, and push updates when consistent shipping rules are required.
- Smart Warranty & Guarantee Policies. Warranty and guarantee settings now follow a clear hierarchy across products, brands, vendors, and the marketplace. New products start with no policy instead of automatically inheriting one.
- Video Block & Video Backgrounds. The page builder now includes a dedicated video block and native video backgrounds for slider sections, with support for YouTube and uploaded videos.
- Vendor Identity Verification. Vendors can now be verified using a National ID, passport, or driving license.
- Economic Nexus Registration & Avalara Sync. Marketplace admins can register economic nexus and sync it through the Avalara AvaTax certified integration, helping keep tax settings aligned as nexus requirements change. Learn more about tax management in FlyCommerce.
- Media Storage Insights. A new Media Library experience includes Library and Usage views so admins can better understand how their media storage is being used.
Enhancements
- More Flexible Carrier Controls. Marketplace admins can manage which carriers vendors can use and define shared shipping defaults from one place.
- Shipping Profile Adoption Insights. Admins can see which vendors are using a preset shipping profile and which have customized their settings.
- Clearer Fulfillment Settings. Vendors can now see their assigned fulfillment method and understand when and why it has been changed by an admin.
- Safer Automatic Label Settings. Enabling automatic label handling no longer purchases a shipping label without explicit confirmation from the vendor.
- Faster Reordering. Customers can reorder from Order Details and move directly into the Buy Now checkout flow.
- Pay Now in More Places. The Pay Now action is now available from Recent Orders and Order Details in addition to My Orders.
- More Detailed Order Summaries. Customer order summaries now clearly show Refunded, Returned, and Net Paid amounts.
- Improved Meta Pixel Tracking. Meta Pixel now sends standard ecommerce events, including Purchase, for more reliable advertising measurement.
- Automatic Login After Registration. Customers are signed in automatically after completing registration.
- More Resilient Page Builder. The page builder can now fall back to a saved library when its theme source is temporarily unavailable.
- Smarter Product Review Emails. Product review notifications now follow the correct marketplace or online store workflow and avoid unnecessary duplicate emails.
- Improved Location Management. The Locations page now includes address types, filtering, and improved keyboard accessibility.
- Support Role Login Access. Support staff can now access the appropriate admin experience from the hub when assisting customers.
- Lighter Storefront Experience. Additional improvements include a wishlist navigation block, store timing block, grouped checkout addresses, and a smaller storefront bundle.
Bug Fixes
- Reliable Webhooks. Webhooks now trigger once, include the expected data, and fire only for the correct event.
- Stronger Data Privacy. Public storefront, catalog, vendor, cart, and reporting requests no longer expose private merchant information, vendor details, product cost prices, or unnecessary order metadata. Test order status is now controlled by the server instead of the shopper.
- Protected Order Information. Order status now requires authentication before it can be viewed.
- Accurate Payment Status. Orders are no longer marked as paid when a payment gateway reports that no payment was collected.
- PayTR Credential Validation. PayTR cannot be enabled until the required gateway credentials have been configured.
- No Duplicate Shipping Label Charges. Improved label purchase handling prevents the same shipping label from being purchased twice.
- Correct Refund Processing. Refund requests now use the correct payment gateway reference and no longer trigger unnecessary automatic retries.
- Accurate Handling Fees. Handling fees now use the correct rule values, and percentage-based fees remain saved correctly after reloading.
- Accurate Vendor Shipping Rates. Vendors are now charged according to the shipping rates they configured.
- Valid Carrier Quotes Only. Carriers that cannot serve a customer’s route are no longer shown as available options at checkout.
- Stable Shipment Updates. Shipment statuses no longer change unnecessarily, preventing incorrect timelines and duplicate notification emails.
- Reliable Return-to-Origin Handling. Return-to-origin shipments now create the correct return record consistently without creating duplicates.
- Correct Delivery Messaging. Customer-facing messages now accurately reflect failed deliveries, return-to-origin events, and routes where no carrier quote is available.
- Correct Partial Returns. Partial returns now restock only the quantity that was actually returned.
- Independent Shipping Settings. Saving one shipping configuration no longer removes settings from another shipping card.
- Accurate Fulfillment Progress. Shipment progress now shows the correct item counts and properly reflects partial fulfillment.
- Preserved Vendor Carriers. Changing fulfillment settings no longer removes carriers a vendor has already connected.
- No Duplicate Shipping Presets. Repeatedly selecting Save no longer creates duplicate shipping presets or profiles.
- Clear Locked-Profile Feedback. Vendors now receive a clear response when attempting to modify a locked shipping profile instead of the update failing silently.
- No More Login Loops. Customers with an existing session can now sign in without being redirected through a login loop.
- Correct Vendor Login Redirect. Vendors are taken to the correct dashboard after signing in.
- Secure Invoice Downloads. Invoice downloads no longer expose authentication tokens in the URL or depend on browser popups.
- Checkout Loading Feedback. Checkout now displays a loading state while shipping rates are being retrieved.
- Correct Account Status Messaging. Account hold messaging now displays correctly, and stores without a custom site title use FlyCommerce as the default.
- Wishlist Sharing Reliability. Making a wishlist public now correctly generates the token required for its shareable link.
- Working Back-in-Stock Notifications. The Notify Me option now works correctly as an interactive storefront action.
- Non-English Storefront Stability. Fixed a localization issue that could prevent translated storefronts from rendering correctly.
- Authenticated Tax-Exemption Downloads. Tax-exemption files now use an authenticated download request.
- Gulf Country Checkout Stability. Selecting a Gulf country no longer causes the shipping step to crash.
- Correct Invoice Tax Breakdown. Invoice PDFs no longer display an Avalara tax breakdown when one should not exist.
- More Reliable Avalara Verification. Avalara AvaTax credentials are now fully verified when connecting the integration instead of only checking whether the service can be reached.
- Address Email Persistence. Email information attached to an address now saves correctly when the address is created or updated.
- Accurate Product Sell Counts. Product sell counts and search indexing now stay synchronized when an order is completed.
- Vendor Verification Uploads. Identity verification document uploads no longer crash during vendor onboarding.
- More Resilient Dashboard. Improved compatibility with browser translation extensions, corrected clipped sidebar panels, and fixed theme import uploads.
